Policarpo Ribeiro lives in São José dos Campos, Sp. At the beginning of his career, Policarpo was strongly impacted by the cubist works of Picasso and Braque and by the sensitive shapes and colors of the work of Paul Klee. But, over time, his art came close to expressionism, both figurative and abstract in nature.

Policarpo then frequently carries out works with different materials on different supports, from which luminous forms emerge, sometimes organic, sometimes geometric.

The current painting by Policarpo Ribeiro takes up the cubist perspective that guided his first steps in the field of plastic creation.

With several exhibitions since 1988 and participation in galleries and artistic residencies. With works in the USA, France, Portugal, Japan, Spain.
