4-Day Tarangire Serengeti & Ngorongoro Safari

Overview

Tarangire offers the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s bird life Serengeti is the country's oldest & largest national park Ngorongoro Crater: Africa's "Garden of Eden" This 4-day 3-night tour takes you to Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. They are among the famous parks on the northern circuit of Tanzania and places not to miss on your holiday there.

Day 1: Arusha-Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your driver-guide will collect you, and your safari will commence. You will drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. This takes approximately 3 hours. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses through the park, being the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. The park is famous for its huge number of elephants, baobab trees and tree climbing African pythons. The park covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. You will enjoy a daylong of game viewing, with a picnic lunch looking out over the river to break up the time in the car. After a nice game drive before it gets dark you will drive to the lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

Drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes about 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai George is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has the amazing landscape that resulted from the tectonic forces, which created the Great Rift Valley millions ofYears ago. Then in the late evening, the game drives to Serengeti and overnight at Serengeti Wild Camp full board.

Day 3: Serengeti /Ngorongoro Highland

After breakfast, morning game drives at Serengeti National Park, and then later afternoon drive to Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has the amazing landscape that resulted from the tectonic forces which created the Great Rift Valley million of years ago. And then drive to the airport for the next destination.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater/Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater, then half day game drives inside the crater. This is undoubtedly the best place to see black rhino in Tanzania as well as the prides of lion that includes the magnificent black mined males. There are lots of colorful flamingos and the variety of water birds. Other game-leopard, cheetah, hyena and lots of other members of the antelope family and small mammals of sorts can also be seen here. In the late afternoon, drive back to Arusha or Airport drop off.
