Episode 59: Members Only Champions League Review
Dear subscribers,
welcome to our first Champions League review of the season, where we take an exclusive look at what the four German contestants achieved in their first outings.
Union took their first ever Champions League trip to European powerhouse Real Madrid and almost pulled off a 0-0 draw, until Jude Bellingham scored in extra time.
Borussia Dortmund could have used Bellingham's attacking skills as they didn't have much to offer on that end in their 2-0 defeat at PSG.
Bayern München made ith harder than it had to be but in the end pulled off a convincing but wild 4-3 victory over Manchester United, who couldn't complete their comeback without Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Lastly, RB Leipzig travelled to historic Wankdorfstadium in Bern, site of Germany's World Cup win of '54, where they easily handled Young Boys Bern, taking a 3-1 road win.
And on top of all that, we'll discuss Julian Nagelsmann, designated new manager for Germany's national squad.
