Episode 54: Dortmund's Mentality Check with Stephan Uersfeld

Dear listeners,

we've got another special guest for you! BVB insider and former ESPN correspondent, Stephan Uersfeld, joined us to give a rather gloomy perspective on a Dortmund side that's just not been right, since Klopp left many moons ago. That's why we're still discussing the team's identity and mentality, which the management has focussed on by bringing in experienced players instead of rising stars. So far the first two games haven't shown the expected results and Christoph has heard rumors that the higher ups at the club are not really pleased with Edin Terzic's approach.

The officials in Leverkusen on the other hand can be really pleased with Xabi Alonso's team and new striker Victor Boniface, who destroyed Gladbach while playing "sexy" football.

Bayern's officials can be pleased with themselves, as record signing Harry Kane scored twice versus Augsburg.

And we can't sleep on Union Berlin, of course, who got another 4-1 win with yet another three goals on headers.

So, if Dortmund isn't ready this year, there are three other candidates for second place behind perennial champions Bayern Munich.

Enjoy!
