American Purpose, in partnership with D.C. Public Libraries, is hosting a salon-style discussion of James Baldwin’s enduring significance next Wednesday, March 8, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. We hope you can join us for this special event.

The event will feature Azar Nafisi, AP editorial board member and author of (among other books) Reading Lolita in Tehran; Nolan Harris, Jr., host of West End Neighborhood Library's James Baldwin Discussion Group; and live Baldwin readings by actress and Chadwick Boseman College of Fine Arts graduate Jazmyn Ja’net.
