Agenda Edition #20 / 13.09 - 15.09 / Current mood: Art week!
Hi, and welcome back to agenda - got plans?, a newsletter featuring a curated selection of art, design, and fashion events in Berlin. I'm Kate, a freelance journalist, Berlin local, and art lover. I hope my newsletter makes it a bit easier for you to navigate everything this city has to offer.
How are you? I’m running a bit late with my newsletter this week since it’s been packed with work, but I’m really excited to share my favorite picks of the week with you!
That said, here are my Top 5 of the week:
032c Vernissage
Gallery Night
C/O Berlin x Agentur Ostkreuz Exhibition Opening
Positions Art Fair & Fashion Positions
Open House at the Boros Collection
… read until the end for a little extra treat.
#1 032c Vernissage
If you're into people-watching and being seen, don’t miss the new 032c Gallery in Kantstraße this weekend. It’s the kind of event where you’re guaranteed to spot some of Berlin’s best-dressed crowd.
The exhibition itself is perfectly suited to the city: "Productive Narcissism" features works by Jon Rafman, Hugo Comte, Ser Serpas, Sissel Tolaas, Amalia Ulman, Lukas Heerich, Ana Viktoria Dzinic, Jordan Derrien, and Cezary Poniatowski.
“Productive Narcisissm” at 032c Gallery
Friday, 13.09, 18:00 - 22:00
Location: 032c Gallery, Kantstraße 149, 10623 Berlin

#2 Gallery Night
I personally love visiting art institutions and museums in the evening, and one of my favorite events is the Friday night at New York’s Whitney Museum of Art. So I’m thrilled that, as part of Berlin Art Week, the galleries of Gallery Weekend Berlin (a private initiative by Berlin galleries) are hosting a Gallery Night with extended hours until 10 pm this Friday.
Many of the exhibitions will either open that evening or have only recently opened. If that's too last-minute for you, the galleries will also be open on Saturday from 12 to 6 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm. You can find the full list of participating galleries here (Opens in a new window).

#3 Exhibition Opening "Dream On — Berlin, the 90s" | C/O Berlin
If you’ve been following agenda – got plans? for a while, you already know how much I love C/O Berlin. And if you're into photography, you've probably heard of Agentur Ostkreuz.
The latest C/O Berlin exhibition, “Dream On — Berlin, the 90s”, features works by nine Ostkreuz photographers who documented the turbulent period following the fall of the Berlin Wall: Sibylle Bergemann, Harald Hauswald, Ute Mahler and Werner Mahler, Annette Hauschild, Thomas Meyer, Jordis Antonia Schlösser, Anne Schönharting, and Maurice Weiss.

If you're at all interested in Berlin's history, especially the wild '90s with their mix of optimism and uncertainty, subcultures, and the emerging techno scene, this exhibition is for you. I'm excited to check it out, but also a bit skeptical—it could just be a boring collection of clichés we've already seen. We'll find out!
"Dream On — Berlin, the 90s"
Starting Saturday, 14.09
Location: C/O Berlin, Hardenbergstraße 22–24 10623 Berlin

#4 Fashion Positions at Position Art Fair
If you're into fashion and art, don't miss the Positions Art Fair (Opens in a new window)this weekend. 111 international galleries from 24 countries will be showcasing their top contemporary and modern art pieces. This year, there’s a special focus on galleries from South Korea.
Besides art, expect a major focus on fashion design at the fair. Fashion Positions (Opens in a new window) highlights selected works from twenty innovative fashion designers. The goal? To showcase the creativity of independent designers at the intersection of art and fashion, while also strengthening Berlin’s position as a hub for independent labels. What a fantastic idea!

Location: Flughafen Tempelhof, Hangar 5-6

#5 Boros Collection Open House
Have you ever been to the Boros Collection? Visits usually take place in small groups accompanied by art guides, and tickets tend to sell out quickly. As part of this year's Art Week, you can visit the unique building on Sunday without a prior reservation, and for a reduced price (15 instead of 18 euros). You can explore the labyrinthine exhibition spaces at your own pace. I highly recommend a visit, as both the collection and the building itself are incredible. It might be crowded, though, so if you're not a fan of queuing, you may want to consider visiting on another day and paying the extra 3€ for a calmer experience.
Boros Collection Open House
Sunday, 15.09, 13:30–18:00
Location: Sammlung Boros, Bunker, Reinhardtstr. 20, 10117 Berlin-Mitte

P.S. If you want to upgrade your autumn wardrobe this weekend, check out the Hundhund Sample Sale in Wedding. The prices are usually quite fair for the quality of the materials.
