Rebuilding Agenda — Stay Tuned

Agenda Edition #30 / 14.03-16.03.2025 / Current mood: {pause}

Hi, and welcome back to agenda – got plans?, a newsletter featuring a curated selection of art, design, and fashion events in Berlin. I’m Kate, a freelance journalist, Berlin local, and art lover. I hope this newsletter makes it a bit easier for you to navigate everything this city has to offer.

This is the 30th edition of this newsletter, and I’m quite proud of what this little idea of weekly picks has become. However, I’ve been struggling with the format and visibility of the newsletter, which is why I’ve decided to take a break and put agenda – got plans? under construction for a while.

I would be incredibly grateful for any feedback or thoughts you might have. I created a short survey (Opens in a new window), would be great to hear your thoughts!

That said, here are a few things I want to recommend before putting this newsletter on a temporary hold.

#1 Group Exhibition “Meet me halfway”

I mentioned the ongoing EMOP (European Month of Photography) already last week but here’s another reminder to check out some of the multiple photo exhibitions talking place in Berlin during March.

While I have to admit that I wasn’t a fan of everything I saw so far, there is one exhibition I visited last weekend and that I really liked: “Meet me halfway” is a group exhibition with photography students and graduates from six Berlin and Potsdam photography training institutions.

I highly recommend to go there on Saturday for the guided tour with Marie-Luise Mayer, curator of the exhibition. She gives insight into the feautured art and when I visited last week, two of the featured photographer were there, giving insight into their work. The tour is free and takes around 30 minutes – short but sweet!

Free admission
Opening hours: Mo-Sun 14:00-19:00
Location: Leipziger Str. 56, 10117 Berlin

#2 Charlottenwalk

Think of Gallery Weekend — but just for Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Charlottenwalk is a concept created by both established and up-and-coming galleries, showcasing their contemporary art programs over the course of two days. A map (available in print and digital formats) helps you plan your route through the area, guiding you to 37 galleries.

While there are free guided tours, I personally love wandering around Savignyplatz and exploring the galleries at my own pace. And if you need a break, treat yourself to some traditional „Kaffee und Kuchen“ at Café Bistro 1900 — their homemade cakes and crumbles are absolutely to die for.

#3 Flea Market at Klub Maison

As with any privately organized pop-up or flea market event, this could be a hit or miss. I don’t have much intel on it, other than the fact that it's set in a beautiful location and all the sellers seem to be stylists, content creators, or otherwise connected to PR and marketing.

I picture a crowd of well-dressed people selling their Tabi boots, Gucci loafers, or Coach bags — which could either be a treasure trove of finds or the kind of event you want to leave after two minutes.

And that’s it for now!
