List of books published on or by artists inspired by Tolkien
I recently started a little thread over with the wonderful people at Tolkienguide.com (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre) called List of books published on or by artists inspired by Tolkien (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre) because I had been 'talking' to Joel Merriner on Twitter about art books/ artists inspired by Tolkien and there was no such list yet (he is doing - among many other things - the amazing Arda Illuminated (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre) series on Youtube I can only highly recommend).
I am copy-pastying the thread from TG over here for one reason - I'll keep it updated on both sides of the internet pond, so to speak - and that is that I am going to order books from this list and do quick reviews on them for you. I will try and concentrate on all the outstanding art that we have from before the film trilogies as well as art since then that is truly original.
If you happen to have any suggestions and/or ideas for this list I would be quite happy to hear them!
