Endlich etwas Urlaub gehabt. 

Hier mein Eintrag vom ersten Tag. Er ging leider eine Weile verloren. Jetzt ist er wieder da.

Urlaub. Das heisst runterkommen, den Alltag aus dem Hirn schmeißen – was mir leider nicht so gut gelingt – und die Gedanken auf den Momnet richten. Es besteht jedoch die Gefahr sich treiben zu lassen und das schreiben zu vernachlässigen. Ein Urlaubstagebuch könnte helfen, mich zu fokussieren.

Der erste Tag ist geschafft. Ich meine wirklich “geschafft“, im Sinne von Arbeit. Ich lasse meine NOMADS Protagonisten zwar sehr viel reisen und schicke sie an exotische Orte, aber selbst bin ich eher der Pauschalurlauber, mit festen Gewohnheiten. Ich brauche keine Abenteuer mehr. Davon hatte ich früher genug.

Der Tag der Abreise gliederte sich in viele kleine Teile. In etliche, kleine Abenteuer. Mit der U-Bahn zum Hauptbahnhof. Von dort, mit dem Bus zu einem kleinen Flugplatz. Mit dem Flieger nach Palermo. Mit dem Bus von Palermo nach Trapani. Von dort, mit dem Leihauto nach Tonnara Bonagia. Abreise bei 19 Grad Celsius, mit Regen. Ankunft bei 37 Grad Celsius und stechender Sonne.

So viel zur eigentlichen Reise. Nun geht es an verschiedene Strände. Dort muss ich mich von den Strapazen erholen.

Ich komme zwar kaum zum Schreiben, aber hin und wieder finde ich Zeit, meine Helden mit Problemen zu konfrontieren, die sie Leib und Leben kosten könnten, während ich Urlaub mache.

Hat Gott einen ähnlichen Plan?

Authors Diary – Day 9 (sicily)

Finally had some vacation. 

Here is my entry from the first day. Unfortunately it got lost for a while. Now it is back again.

Finally some vacation. That means to come down, to throw the everyday life out of the brain – what I unfortunately don’t succeed so well – and to direct the thoughts on the Momnet. However, there is the danger of drifting and neglecting the writing. A vacation diary could help to focus me.

The first day is done. I really mean „done“ in the sense of work. I do have my NOMADS protagonists travel a lot and send them to exotic places, but I’m more of a package vacationer myself, with set habits. I don’t need adventures anymore. I had enough of that in the past.

The day of departure was divided into many small parts. In several, small adventures. By subway to the main station. From there, by bus to a small airport. By plane to Palermo. By bus from Palermo to Trapani. From there, by rental car to Tonnara Bonagia. Departure at 19 degrees Celsius, with rain. Arrival at 37 degrees Celsius and stinging sun.

So much for the actual trip. Now it goes to different beaches. There I have to recover from the exertions.
