Standard steps for a nutritional oil bake at the hairdresser
Many friends choose to do their own hair baking at home, but find that the results are not as good as those from the barber shop. Even if you buy the same type of oil baking cream from a barber shop, the results are not ideal, what is the problem?
In fact, the problem lies in the method of operation. In a barber shop, the assistants follow a professional operation process and application technique, so that the hair is more fully absorbed, plus professional heating equipment, such as heat therapy machines, infrared, oil baking machines, etc., so the results are definitely better. If you do it yourself at home, the application technique and order is definitely not correct, plus there is no steam heating, the effect will be greatly reduced.
Here I'll share with you the standard procedure for doing nutritional oil baking in a hairdresser's shop, and after reading it you'll know what the problem is. Then I'll show you how to make a similar effect at home, so please come with me to find out more.
The standard steps to do nutritional oil baking in a barber shop
Step 1: Wash your hair first, towel it off until it doesn't drip, then section it off, the purpose of sectioning is for better handling. This is because the partitioning ensures that every portion of hair is evenly coated with the baking cream.
In general, the method of cross partitioning is followed, which means that the hair is divided into four zones, front to back and side to side. When partitioning, start by parting from the top of the head to the two ears, which is the front and back partition. Then divide from the middle of the hairline all the way to the back hairline, which is the left and right partition.
Step 2: When applying, make sure there is enough moisture on your hair, or spray a little moisture if your hair is dry. The order of application is from the bottom up, meaning apply the bottom piece of hair first and then the second piece of hair, applying from the bottom up first.
Apply to the bottom of the hair piece first, as the most damaged part is where the ends are, this ensures that the damaged part absorbs a sufficient amount of the oil. Then apply to the middle of the hair piece and leave it out when you get to the roots or healthy areas. Apply one area, then another, all the way through the whole head, you must ensure that the hair absorbs the baking cream.
Step 3: After the baking cream has been applied evenly, the hair should also be massaged. The massage technique is also very professional and should not be rubbed indiscriminately, but from the top downwards, using the palm of your hand to hold the hair piece, then use both hands to massage the hair piece alternately with your index finger and thumb repeatedly to ensure that every piece of hair is massaged so that it can be better absorbed.
The massage should also be carried out piece by piece and the hair piece should not be parted too thickly, as this will affect the effect of the massage. The order of massage is from the top down, a zone by zone, massage process if the hair becomes dry, you need to spray water to keep wet, the effect is better.
Step 4: After all the hair has been massaged, it is time for the heating process. Some hairdressers use a heat therapy machine to heat the hair while replenishing the water, with ultraviolet lamps for sterilisation, but also to promote the absorption of the hair and quickly fill the epidermis due to the formation of damaged bumpy surface.
The water spray from the heat therapy machine is hot and the hair expands when exposed to heat, enhancing the absorption of the hair and allowing the nutrients entering the hair to break down quickly and fill in any damaged holes in the hair. Generally the heat therapy machine takes 15-20 minutes to heat up, and when the heat is over and the hair has cooled down, it is ready to be washed.
If you need to use an oil or infrared machine for heating, you must first make your hair into hollow curls as shown in the picture, and then secure it with clips. This way when heated, the hair can fully absorb the heat and get the best treatment.
If the hair is heated by an oil baster, you do not need to wrap a shower cap, just use the steam from the baster to heat it directly. If it is an infrared heater, it is best to wrap the hair in cling film or a shower cap before heating, so that the heat will form a cycle in the cap and the heating effect will be better.
Step 5: After heating, spread the hair out and let it cool before shampooing. Don't use shampoo and conditioner when shampooing, just use warm water to wash the baking cream off your hair directly.
After shampooing, it is recommended to dry your hair with a hair dryer as the keratin in the baking cream will wrap a film around the hair scales and the heat from the hair dryer will make this film wrap more tightly around the hair and shine better. It will better prevent nutrient loss and moisture evaporation and the baking oil will be perfect.
These are the complete steps to do a nutritional oil bake in a barber shop, isn't it much more professional than you can do it yourself at home? You may say that you can't do it at home, but what if you can't do it yourself? I'll teach you how to do a hair mask at home, and the results will be good.
① Wash your hair and towel off until it does not drip.
②Since you are operating on your own and cannot partition, simply lower your head or put the back of your hair in front of your shoulders so that it is easy to apply.
③When applying, use your hands to pick out the baking cream, then apply to the ends of the hair first, rub and massage slightly at the ends for a while, then apply the baking cream brought down from the damaged area to the middle of the hair, if the amount is not enough you can add some slightly. If the amount is not enough, add some more. It is important that the oil is absorbed, so it is a waste to apply more than the hair can absorb.
④After applying, try to massage for a while, absorption is the key, repeated massage can help the hair to absorb better, this is the most critical step, although you can not be as professional as the hairdresser, but the effect of massage and no massage is a big difference.
⑤ After the massage, clip the hair on top of the head, wrap it in a shower cap and give the outer layer of towel, leave it on for 30 minutes, unwrap and cool, then you can shampoo. When shampooing, rinse directly with lukewarm water and leave out the shampoo and conditioner.
After shampooing, always remember to blow dry your hair so that the results are as close to barbershop results as possible. To maintain the best care effect, it is recommended to do oil baking treatment once a week.Read more at:online formal dresses australia (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre) | white formal dresses australia (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre)
