Hello there!
I am Pablo Held (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), pianist, composer from Cologne, Germany.
Back in the summer of 2018 I started interviewing my musical heroes and peers, giving birth to the critically acclaimed interview series Pablo Held Investigates (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre).
My conversation with the legendary Wayne Shorter (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre) was the one that got the whole thing started. Since then I spoke with distinguished artists like John Scofield (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), Bill Stewart (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), Ben Monder (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), Joey Baron (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), Chris Potter (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), Norma Winstone (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), Dave Longstreth (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), Gabriel Kahane (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), Larry Goldings (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre) and many more.
Without a doubt this is one of the biggest learning experiences of my life. It brings me great joy to see that people from all over the world have found meaningful insights in these conversations. I feel that sharing a learning-experience has the power to unite people from various backgrounds.
Producing, editing and promoting these interviews takes up a lot of time and energy besides my extensive touring schedule (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), teaching duties and time with my family.
