Everyone running an independent fashion label is aware of how challenging it is to market their products and keep the business afloat while maintaining inclusivity and sustainable practices. Rhi Dancey (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), the innovative force behind her eponymous brand, has cracked the code on how to do just that.

The designer and former stylist launched her sustainable fashion line in 2020 from her living room during the pandemic. Frustrated with the fashion industry's exploitation and lack of community, Rhi aimed to create an authentic and accessible space. Over the past four years, her brand has grown by embracing deadstock fabrics and small-batch manufacturing, ensuring fair treatment and compensation for everyone involved.

Read below how Rhi’s all-female, anti-hierarchy structure promotes an inclusive and supportive environment, reflecting her own challenging experiences as a young creative through mentorship and consultancy.
