The BRICKS Photo Scheme - Get Free Studio Time

At BRICKS magazine, we understand that building your photographic portfolio as a low-income creative is extremely difficult. During the cost of living crisis and with studio rates often bank-breaking just for a dry-hire, we wanted to offer an alternative. As part of our ongoing work supporting marginalised creatives, we’re opening the doors of our Brixton-based Photo Studio to creators looking to develop their portfolio, completely free of charge. 

The BRICKS editorial team will be selecting two candidates per month that will receive one full day (8 hours) of studio time. The scheme will also include lights and two colourama backdrops. Unfortunately, we currently don’t own an in-house camera (so if any lovely brands reading this would like to donate one to us to help creators on the scheme, please do!) so photographers will need to bring or hire the kit necessary. We will also be sharing the work completed on the BRICKS Photo Studio account.
