Poetry festival, UdK Rundgang and a backyard concert
Agenda Edition #12 / 19.-21-07 / Current mood: Jetlagged but happy
Hi, and welcome back to agenda - got plans?, a newsletter featuring a curated selection of art, design, and fashion events in Berlin. I'm Kate, a freelance journalist, Berlin local, and art lover. I hope my newsletter makes it a bit easier for you to navigate through everything this city offers.
How was your week? I am back from Japan and not ready for any social events yet. Jetlag has me in a chokehold and I try to balance between unwinding and getting back on track with work. But I guess I’m not alone in this feeling. It seems like Berlin is taking it slow this weekend – a little break between Fashion Week and Pride Week(end).
That said, here are some cute laid-back events and exhibitions I recommend checking out:
Visit UdK for their annual showcase
Explore what it feels like being eighteen today
Attend a poetry festival
#1 What is it like to grow up today? | Exhibition
How does it feel to be eighteen today? Zeiss-Großplanetarium launches the traveling multimedia exhibition ".achtzehn" by filmmaker and photographer John Kolya Reichart. It focuses on young people and their lives across Germany.

#3 Rundgang at UdK
Every summer, Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) opens its studios, rehearsal rooms, and workshops for three days, showcasing the work of its emerging artists. I always love going there! From painting, sculpture, and performance to design sketches, fashion shows, and film screenings to concerts, dance and sound installations, students will be showing the results and processes of their artistic work. You can walk through all the rooms and every space feels completely different and new. The event takes place at several locations of UdK, but my highlight is usually their building in Hardenbergstraße 33, which is open on Friday and Saturday until midnight.
